Being male in the 21st Century
Mental health and balancing work, life, relationships and friendships has always been important to me and that's why Morey's Sports and Music Tours is deliberately targeting blokes out there to get around each other and consider getting a group together on one of tours? The research is clear, men liver longer if they have a shared connection with someone they can share their inner thoughts with.
Research from the Australian Men's Health forum suggest there is a 'mates crisis'. Changing work routines, no longer playing sport, relationship changes and challenges and looming retirement, are all contributing to isolation for men and a reduction in access to trusted circles where men can share their fears, worries and celebrate milestones.
It is important for all males to find new opportunities for connection and we know blokes love their sport, so it makes sense to prioritize friendship in and around live sporting and music events. We see the changing demographics of going to the pub to enjoy a beer and a chat are being replaced with experiences and opportunities in and around sport and music. Ringing any bells....... like sport, like travelling then connect with other blokes, celebrate being male and consider choosing one of our tours (Anzac Day, LIV Golf, Metallica or Green Day)
So, there is my bit for this week, connect with others, be curious and embrace the universe.
